COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: $20,063 - $21,063. Commensurate with certification/experience in keeping with the current negotiated agreement with the CSEA. RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:               

  • Assist with instruction and assessment under the direction of the teacher
  • Assist in preparing lessons and materials
  • Employ effective management practices to support diverse student management needs and an environment conducive to learning
  • Engage in continuing professional staff development activities

Teacher of Deaf and Hearing ImpairedTeacher of Hearing Impaired 10.15.23

LOCATION: Jefferson-Lewis BOCES with Itinerant Assignment: This is an itinerant assignment serving the school districts within Jefferson & Lewis Counties.

STARTING DATE: As soon as possible

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: $50,609- $57,453. Commensurate with certification/experience in keeping with the current negotiated agreement with the BOCES Professional Association. Health insurance which includes vision & prescription coverage, NYS Retirement membership, tax deferred annuities, employee assistance program, and generous sick and personal day policies

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: The Teacher of the Deaf & Hard of Hearing provides specialized instruction to K-12 students who have a hearing disability. Services include direct instruction, consultation, and co-teaching as appropriate. Preferred candidates will possess solid interpreting skills.

LOCATION: Jefferson-Lewis BOCES with initial assignment at Indian River Central School District

STARTING DATE: As soon as possible

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: $50,609- $57,453. Commensurate with certification/experience in keeping with the current negotiated agreement with the BOCES Professional Association. Health insurance which includes vision & prescription coverage for full time positions, NYS Retirement membership, tax deferred annuities, employee assistance program, and generous sick and personal day policies

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: Provide speech therapy services to students with disabilities as specified in Individual Education Plans and speech improvement services to non-disabled students.

LOCATION: Jefferson-Lewis BOCES with initial assignment in the Indian River Central School District  

STARTING DATE: As soon as possible

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: $52,963- $55,163 annual salary commensurate with certification/experience in keeping with the current negotiated agreement with the BOCES Professional Association. Health insurance which includes vision & prescription coverage, NYS Retirement membership, tax deferred annuities, employee assistance program, and generous sick and personal day policies

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  • Provide occupational therapy services to students with disabilities as well as those identified as benefiting from service
  • Provide students with a safe, orderly environment that is conducive to therapy and learning.
  • Record and report student progress.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in general education.
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with parents.
