  • Integrating 21st Century skills, employability skills, and academic standards with the program and with daily instruction.
  • Meeting / planning with local industry advisory committee for continuous improvement of the program
  • Preparing students for success on the NOCTI for performance and SkillsUSA Plumbing and SkillsUSA HVAC/R assessments for practicum.

LOCATION: Jefferson-Lewis BOCES with initial assignment at Carthage Area Hospital, Carthage, New York / Bohlen Technical Center, Watertown, New York

SALARY: $52,249-$59,314.  Commensurate with certification/experience in keeping with the current negotiated agreement with the BOCES Professional Association. Health insurance which includes vision & prescription coverage, NYS Retirement membership, tax deferred annuities, employee assistance program, and generous sick and personal day policies

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a team of educators to provide instruction exploring careers in the health career cluster for 12th graders. Duties include:

  • Collaborating with colleagues to integrate academics, literacy, and technology with high school health careers
  • Preparing students for  continued education for careers in the healthcare industry
  • Networking with hospital and medical staff to establish and monitor student rotations in the various departments
  • Meeting / planning with local industry advisory committee for continuous improvement of  the program

Cleaner- Full Time (Two Open Positions)Cleaner-Full Time BTC 4.30.24

LOCATION: Jefferson-Lewis BOCES, initial assignment at Bohlen Technical Center, Watertown, NY.  

STARTING DATE: As Soon As Possible

SHIFT: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM 

SALARY: $32,365-$34,365 annually – pro-rated from start date. Commensurate with experience in keeping with the current negotiated agreement with the BOCES Support Staff Association. Health insurance which includes vision & prescription coverage, NYS Retirement membership, tax deferred annuities, employee assistance program and generous vacation, sick and personal day polices.

DUTIES: This is routine and repetitive physical work involving the efficient and economical performance of building cleaning and related tasks.  Cleaning tasks are performed according to a well-established procedure.  The work is performed under the supervision of an immediate supervisor.  The incumbent does related work as required.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS : $22,599-$24,599 (23-24 Rate), Commensurate with experience and in keeping with the negotiated BSSA agreement. RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:   Assist CTE instructor in the delivery of all aspects of the CTE program. Duties include assisting classroom teacher in monitoring students, record-keeping, and guiding students as they practice newly acquired knowledge and skills.
