LOCATION: Jefferson Lewis BOCES, Watertown, New York with possible assignment between two component districts.                 

SALARY: Starting at $62,348. Commensurate with certification/experience in keeping with the current negotiated agreement with the BOCES Professional Association. RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a team of educators to provide services to students. Duties include:

  • Psychological evaluations, IEP development, group and individual counseling, and consultation with parents and faculty
  • Participate in district’s Response to Intervention and Committee on Special Education in making decisions that are in compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:        

  • Provide specialized instruction to students with disabilities.
  • Develop individualized student supports based upon student performance data and individualized education plans.
  • Record and report student progress.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in general education and provide resources to meet student learning needs.
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with parents.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:  The Health Services Coordinator will oversee student health records, develop and monitor health intervention plans, supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and collaborate closely with school administrators, district staff, and families to promote safe, supportive learning environments.

  • Maintain and monitor confidential student health records in accordance with NYS and FERPA guidelines
  • Develop and oversee individualized health intervention and emergency care plans
  • Supervise, support, and evaluate Licensed Practical Nurses assigned across the region
  • Serve as a liaison between BOCES, component school districts, healthcare providers, and families
  • Coordinate compliance with NYS health regulations, immunization requirements, and school health policies
  • Provide training and professional development on health protocols and procedures
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of health-related services, including screenings and medication administration
  • Respond to health emergencies and consult on medical accommodations for students

LOCATION: Jefferson-Lewis BOCES: This is an itinerant assignment serving the school districts within Jefferson & Lewis Counties.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: The Teacher of the Deaf & Hard of Hearing provides specialized instruction to K-12 students who have a hearing disability.  Services include direct instruction, consultation, and co-teaching as appropriate.  Preferred candidates will possess solid interpreting skills.

This course is designed for homeowners, hobbyists, and seasonal equipment users who want to prolong the life of their small engines by learning best practices for off-season care. Some duties include:        

  • Develop and deliver engaging, hands-on lessons
  • Demonstrate proper maintenance and safety technique
  • Provide students with checklists, maintenance schedules, and winter prep guides
  • Answer questions and support diverse learning styles
  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and interactive learning environment
  • Be willing to offer the course in the fall & Spring
