RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: Provide clinical nursing instruction to adult students at various healthcare facilities. Provide lab instruction via hands-on and simulation to same students.  Ability to deploy simulation-based instruction subsequent to in-service training sessions.

COMPENSATION: $45.00 per hour

Nursing Instructor position: full-time/daytime faculty position in the Practical Nursing Program.  Position will be responsible for successfully performing the professional duties of didactic, simulation lab and clinical instruction.  Position will be responsible for the following: student advisement and discipline, accreditation including course and program revision, program development, assessment development and monitoring, and perform other professional duties as directed and/or approved by the Health Careers Coordinator or Supervisor of Adult & Continuing Education.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:  The Health Services Coordinator will oversee student health records, develop and monitor health intervention plans, supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and collaborate closely with school administrators, district staff, and families to promote safe, supportive learning environments.

  • Maintain and monitor confidential student health records in accordance with NYS and FERPA guidelines
  • Develop and oversee individualized health intervention and emergency care plans
  • Supervise, support, and evaluate Licensed Practical Nurses assigned across the region
  • Serve as a liaison between BOCES, component school districts, healthcare providers, and families
