DUTIES: The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a team of educators to provide specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities.
Duties Include:                      

  • Provide instruction to students with emotional and learning disabilities.  Demonstrate understanding of adapted and modified physical education strategies.
  • Provide students with a safe, orderly environment that is conducive to teaching and learning.
  • Record and report student progress.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in general education.
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with parents.

LOCATION:  Jefferson County Region (One Position) Component Districts in Jefferson County Lewis County Region (Two Positions) One Part time (.6 FTW) with initial assignment at Town of Webb, 3 days per week, Old Forge, New York
One Full Position with Initial assignment at South Lewis Central School, Turin, New York (Start Date January 2025)

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: This is professional nursing position involving responsibility for giving care to students and for performing related nursing services such as pupil health screening and notification of defects and communicable disease control requiring judgment and skills. The work is performed under the general direction of a School Physician or administrator. Supervision may be exercised over the work of clerical assistants or Teacher Aides. Does related work as required
