| Electrical Wiring Instructor - Antcipated Opening | Electrical Wiring BTC CTE 12.31.25 | COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: $53,472 - $60,702. Commensurate with certification/experience in keeping with the current negotiated agreement with the BOCES Professional Association. RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a team of educators to provide a program of instruction in Electrical Wiring. A project-based learning approach will be key. - Preparing students for careers and post-secondary education related to Electrical Wiring.
- Integrating 21st Century skills, employability skills, and academic standards with the program and with daily instruction.
- Meeting / planning with local industry advisory committee for continuous improvement of the program
- Preparing students for success on the NOCTI assessment/examination.

- Develop and revise curriculum and instructional materials to align with state and industry standards (e.g., NYS Department of Health, NYSDEC).
- Provide hands-on instruction using lab equipment and simulations.
- Prepare students for New York State operator certification exams (Grades I–IV).
- Advise and mentor students pursuing careers in municipal water and wastewater services.
- Maintain records of student progress, attendance, and certification readiness.
- Establish and maintain industry partnerships to support internships, site visits, and guest lectures.
- Reports to the Assistant Director for Career & Technical and Adult Education programs.
- 10-15 hours/week, 2 to 3 nights/week, 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm
