LOCATION: Jefferson Lewis BOCES Practical Nursing Simulation Lab at Globe and Samaritan Medical Center locations
SCHEDULE: Approximately 15 hours per week, assisting practical nursing candidates with clinical experience at local healthcare facilities.
STARTING DATE: As soon as possible
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: Provide clinical nursing instruction and supervision to adult nursing students at various healthcare facilities. Assist with hands-on laboratory instruction, including skills practice and simulation-based learning experiences. Assist with student performance in clinical and laboratory settings and provide constructive feedback to support student growth and competency development. Assist with simulation-based instruction subsequent to in-service training sessions. Collaborate with program faculty and clinical partners to ensure effective implementation of the nursing curriculum.
Current, unencumbered New York Licensed Practical Nurse license. Minimum of two years recent RN experience: with medical-surgical nursing experience preferred. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider certification; BLS Instructor certification preferred.
Pre-Employment Assessment and NYSED Requirements of approved fingerprints prior to hire date, DASA Training and SAVE Workshop, Child Abuse Identification Workshop, and acquisition of Job Skills certification.
