Job Description

LOCATION: Jefferson-Lewis BOCES, H.G. Sackett Technical Center, Glenfield, NY

COMPENSATION: $77,000-$84,000. This is a 12-month position.  Salary commensurate with experience and certification held in keeping with the current agreement.   Health insurance, which includes vision & prescription coverage, NYS Retirement membership, tax, deferred annuities, employee assistance program, and generous vacation, sick and personal day policies.                      

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: The principal is responsible for the safety, supervision, and career & technical instructional program at the Howard G. Sackett Technical Center and the Lewis County Education Center.
The Center provides Career/Technical Education Programs to adults and students in grades 11 and 12 from seven school districts in Lewis, Oneida, Hamilton and Herkimer Counties. Complete job description can be found by clicking here.

 

Job Qualifications

Master’s Degree, minimum of 3-5 years successful teaching experience. New York State Certification as a School Administrator Supervisor (SAS), School Building Leader (SBL) or School District Administrator (SDA) required. Previous supervisory experience and/or experience/knowledge of career and technical education preferred. Experience and working knowledge of PBL and 21^st Century Learning Technologies.  Effective communication skills are essential.
