Job Description

LOCATION:  Jefferson County Region (1 Position); Lewis County Region (1 Position, includes Pre-K Services)

STARTING DATE: As soon as possible

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: $54,155-56,355 annual salary commensurate with certification/experience in keeping with the current negotiated agreement with the BOCES Professional Association. Health insurance which includes vision & prescription coverage, NYS Retirement membership, tax deferred annuities, employee assistance program, and generous sick and personal day policies

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

• Provide occupational therapy services to students with disabilities as well as those identified as benefiting from service
• Provide students with a safe, orderly environment that is conducive to therapy and learning.
• Record and report student progress.
• Collaborate with colleagues in general education.
• Communicate regularly and effectively with parents.

Job Qualifications

• NYS Licensed Occupational Therapist
• Knowledge of the AOTA Standards and Practices
• Knowledge of school-based therapy
• Experience with diagnostic tools
• Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
