Job Description

TITLE: School Psychologist – Anticipated Itinerant Opening

LOCATION: Jefferson Lewis BOCES, Watertown, New York with possible assignment between two component districts.                 

SALARY: Starting at $60,532. Commensurate with certification/experience in keeping with the current negotiated agreement with the BOCES Professional Association. RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a team of educators to provide

instruction-exploring careers in the electronics and computer technology. Duties include:

• Psychological evaluations, IEP development, group and individual counseling, and consultation with parents and faculty
• Participate in district’s Response to Intervention and Committee on Special Education in making decisions that are in compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

• Knowledge of the NYS Learning Standards and Assessments
• Knowledge of curriculum content and accepted methods of instruction
• Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Valid NYS Teacher Certification as School Psychologist
