Nursing Instructor position: full-time/daytime faculty position in the Practical Nursing Program.  Position will be responsible for successfully performing the professional duties of didactic, simulation lab and clinical instruction.  Position will be responsible for the following: student advisement and discipline, accreditation including course and program revision, program development, assessment development and monitoring, and perform other professional duties as directed and/or approved by the Health Careers Coordinator or Supervisor of Adult & Continuing Education.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: $60,000 - $72,000.  This is a full time, 10-month position. Commensurate with experience in keeping with the current negotiated agreement. RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a team of educators to provide instruction in the Nursing Assistant program for 12th graders. Duties include:    

• Collaborating with colleagues to integrate academics, literacy, and technology with the high school Nursing Assistant program
• Preparing students for the Certified Nursing Assistant exam, post-secondary education and/or employment as a nursing assistant.
• Integrating 21st Century skills, employability skills, and academic standards with the program and with daily instruction
• Networking with hospital and medical staff to establish and monitor student clinical rotations
• Meeting / planning with local industry advisory committee for continuous improvement of the program
• Instructing a session of Medical Career students each day

LOCATION: Jefferson-Lewis BOCES: This is an itinerant assignment serving the school districts within Jefferson & Lewis Counties.

 RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: The Teacher of the Deaf & Hard of Hearing provides specialized instruction to K-12 students who have a hearing disability.  Services include direct instruction, consultation, and co-teaching as appropriate.  Preferred candidates will possess solid interpreting skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: Schedules/teaches and/or supervises the New York State Education Department mandated trainings for school bus drivers, monitors and attendants throughout New York State.  Assists with providing behind-the-wheel training, additionally, updating/maintaining 19-A files for school bus drivers for DMV audits.  Assists with conducting training programs for school officials, supervisors, and employees regarding drug and alcohol testing policies and procedures. May be required to occasionally operate a commercial motor vehicle and driving a bus and assisting with trips as needed. May be required to perform drug and/or alcohol collections for BOCES’ clients. Some evening hours may be required but additional compensation is provided for these sessions. 

The Assistant Director of Facilities Il is responsible for planning, organizing and directing the custodial and maintenance activities of a School District's buildings and grounds department. The work is performed according to established policies and procedures and in accordance with applicable State, local, and federal laws, rules and regulations which apply to school district facility operations and maintenance. Although certain activities are performed in the office, the incumbent of this position will, on occasion, be required to perform maintenance and repair-related tasks and activities, which may be performed indoors or outdoors under adverse working conditions.
