• Collaborate with English and Social Studies teacher and local industry representatives to develop project-based, problem solving activities that align to the Common Core Learning Standards
• Develop students 21st Century skills in the context of exploration of the 16 national career clusters

Small Engine Maintenance Instructor (Winter/Spring Storage Course)Small Engine Maint. Instructor PT BTC AE 8.31.26

STARTING DATE: As soon as possible

SCHEDULE: 1-2 evenings per week for 4 weeks

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Small Engine Maintenance Instructor to teach a short course focused on preparing small engines for winter/spring storage. This course is designed for homeowners, hobbyists, and seasonal equipment users who want to prolong the life of their small engines by learning best practices for off-season care.
Some duties include:
• Develop and deliver engaging, hands-on lessons
• Demonstrate proper maintenance and safety techniques
• Provide students with checklists, maintenance schedules, and winter prep guides
• Answer questions and support diverse learning styles
• Ensure a safe, inclusive, and interactive learning environment
• Be willing to offer the course in the fall & spring

$25.00/Hour
Certified Nursing Assistant Instructor- Full timeCertified Nursing Assistant Instructor BTC 8.28.26

LOCATION: Jefferson-Lewis BOCES, Bohlen Technical Center, Watertown, NY

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: $54,672 - $62,252. Commensurate with certification/experience in keeping with the current negotiated agreement with the BOCES Professional Association. RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a team of educators to provide instruction in the Nursing Assistant program for 12th graders. Duties include:    

  • Collaborating with colleagues to integrate academics, literacy, and technology with the high school Nursing Assistant program
  • Preparing students for the Certified Nursing Assistant exam, post-secondary education and/or employment as a nursing assistant.
  • Integrating 21st Century skills, employability skills, and academic standards with the program and with daily instruction
  • Networking with hospital and medical staff to establish and monitor student clinical rotations
  • Meeting / planning with local industry advisory committee for continuous improvement of the program
  • Instructing a session of Medical Career students each day
