LOCATION: Jefferson-Lewis BOCES, initial assignment at Sackett Technical Center, Glenfield, NY.

STARTING DATE: As Soon As Possible

SHIFT: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM 

SALARY: Starting at $16.75 per hour. Commensurate with experience in keeping with the current negotiated agreement with the BOCES Support Staff Association. DUTIES: This is routine and repetitive physical work involving the efficient and economical performance of building cleaning and related tasks.  Cleaning tasks are performed according to a well-established procedure.  The work is performed under the supervision of an immediate supervisor.  The incumbent does related work as required.   

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS : Starting at $18.50 per hour. Commensurate with experience and in keeping with the negotiated BSSA agreement. RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:   Assist CTE instructor in the delivery of all aspects of the CTE program. Duties include assisting classroom teacher in monitoring students, record-keeping, and guiding students as they practice newly acquired knowledge and skills.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: $52,249- $59,314, pro-rated at .5 FTE. Commensurate with certification/experience in keeping with the current negotiated agreement with the BOCES Professional Association. 

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a team of educators to provide instruction in the Nursing Assistant program for 12th graders. Duties include:    

• Collaborating with colleagues to integrate academics, literacy, and technology with the high school Nursing Assistant program
• Preparing students for the Certified Nursing Assistant exam, post-secondary education and/or employment as a nursing assistant.
• Integrating 21st Century skills, employability skills, and academic standards with the program and with daily instruction
• Networking with hospital and medical staff to establish and monitor student clinical rotations
• Meeting / planning with local industry advisory committee for continuous improvement of the program
• Instructing a session of Medical Career students each day
