STARTING DATE: As Soon As Possible

SHIFT: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM 

SALARY: Starting at $16.75 per hour. Commensurate with experience in keeping with the current negotiated agreement with the BOCES Support Staff Association. Health insurance which includes vision & prescription coverage, NYS Retirement membership, tax deferred annuities, employee assistance program and generous vacation, sick and personal day polices.

DUTIES: This is routine and repetitive physical work involving the efficient and economical performance of building cleaning and related tasks.  Cleaning tasks are performed according to a well-established procedure.  The work is performed under the supervision of an immediate supervisor.  The incumbent does related work as required.

SALARY: $52,249-$59,314.  Commensurate with certification/experience in keeping with the current negotiated agreement with the BOCES Professional Association. RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a team of educators to provide instruction exploring careers in the electronics and computer technology. Duties include:

  • Collaborating with colleagues to integrate academics and career and financial management into the course curriculum.
  • Prepare students for continued education and entry level positions in the Information Technology industry.
  • Networking with local managed service providers (MSPs) and IT departments of a variety of businesses and government to ensure the program stays current and to maintain relationships for possible student internship sites through annual advisory committee and other meetings.
  • Maintain the instructor's own current certification in the IT certifications that students will be earning.
  • Maintain a functioning lab environment with appropriate software and hardware to meet the learning needs of the students, including spare/practice parts and drives.
